Snoopy® Hanging Cup Cookies
What could be sweeter than adding a cookie of Snoopy and his iconic red dog house to your Valentine's Day party? We'll show you how to make this oh-so-fun party treat with sugar cookies, gingerbread cookies, some frosting and a little creativity. And good news: Kids can help decorate and assemble them as a fun activity!
Ingredients:
- Sugar cookies
- Gingerbread cookies
- Vanilla frosting
- Food coloring
Tools:
- Snoopy cookie cutter
- Cup or mugs
- Piping bag
- Knife or icing spatula
Preparation:
- Before baking, use the Snoopy cookie cutter to cut the sugar cookie dough. Bake and let cool.
- Cut your gingerbread dough into a handful of rectangular pieces, roughly the same length as your Snoopy cooker cutter. Bake and let cool.
- Combine a small amount of frosting and a few drops of black food coloring into a bowl. Transfer to a piping bag and outline the Snoopy cookie. Repeat using red food coloring for Snoopy’s collar.
- Cut two gingerbread rectangles in half for each house. Using your knife, cut notches into the half-pieces. Make sure they’re just long and wide enough to fit over the cup or mug.
- Assemble the house with frosting using two rectangular pieces for the roof, two for the walls and two half-pieces for the front and back.
- Make more red-colored frosting. Coat the outside of the house with a knife or icing spatula.
- Carefully attach Snoopy to the top of the house using frosting. Let set. Place gently on the side of a cup or mug.
