Peanut Butter Pinwheels

  • recipe photo
  • This is a fun one to make with your kids. It's a playful twist on a classic PB&J, using lavash in place of standard sandwich bread. The apples and granola give it extra flavor and crunch.

    * Feel free to substitute any nut butter

Get your little ones to help with this one. They'll be that much more likely to eat it once the job is done.

  • 1 whole wheat lavash bread (7 1/2x10 inches)
  • 1/4 cup natural peanut butter*
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2/3 cup diced apple
  • 2 tablespoons prepared granola

  • Cut the lavash in half crosswise. Spread 2 tablespoons peanut butter over each piece, being sure to cover it to the very edges. Drizzle the honey on top. Sprinkle the diced apple and granola evenly over the peanut butter and honey.

  • Roll up the lavash along the shorter edge. Use a serrated knife to cut each roll into four pinwheels.
