  • What goes better with a baking party than milk? Your guests will love these homemade variations – not only are they delicious, but they also coordinate perfectly with our pink-and-brown theme. The bright taste of fresh strawberries and a rich cocoa flavor bring these recipes to life.

For a perfect presentation, serve the homemade milk in glass or plastic bottles. Use striped straws in colors that contrast with the milk.

Homemade Strawberry Milk:

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Cold milk

  • Combine the strawberries, water and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  • Reduce heat and allow to simmer until syrup thickens (about 10 minutes).

  • Pour syrup into a blender and blend on high until it's smooth. Allow syrup to cool in the refrigerator for several hours.

  • When you're ready to make the strawberry milk, add approximately 4 tablespoons of syrup to 8 ounces of ice-cold milk; stir until well combined. Serve immediately.

Homemade Chocolate Milk

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

  • Combine the cocoa powder and powdered sugar.

  • Pour the milk into a blender. Add the cocoa and powdered sugar mix as well as the vanilla.

  • Blend (or whisk) until all ingredients are well combined (about 30 seconds in a blender). Serve immediately.
