  • recipe photo
  • Not only are these chocolate covered pretzels cute, but the combination of sweet and salty is absolutely delicious! With only two ingredients, these treats are easy to make ahead of time and refrigerate until the party starts!

Once melted, put chocolate in a plastic zip bag and cut off a small corner to create a chocolate pen that you can use to draw designs with on the pretzels!

Ingredients - Cupcakes

  • Snyders (Homestyle) pretzel knots
  • Colored melting Chocolate wafers (these can be found at your local craft store)

Special Equipment

  • Microwave
  • Glass bowl (microwavable)
  • Wax paper
  • Fork (for dipping)
  • Rubber spatula
  • Scissors
  • Ziplock Bag

Preparation

  • Fill (microwavable) glass bowl with chocolate wafers.

  • Microwave for 1 minute, when finished take out of the microwave and STIR with a rubber spatula pulling the chocolate on the bottom of the bowl up to the top.

  • Continue microwaving in 30 second intervals until chocolate is melted and smooth... being careful not to over heat the chocolate.

  • Once the chocolate is melted drop your pretzel in the center of your bowl and dip the pretzel completely in chocolate using your fork.

  • Pick up your pretzel from the bottom and lift to the edge of your bowl using your dipping fork.

  • While you have your pretzel on your dipping fork tap your dipping fork multiple times against the rim of your glass bowl to remove excess chocolate from pretzel.

  • Place pretzel on the wax paper.

  • Repeat until you have reached the amount of pretzels you want dipped- and let them completely dry before touching- (about 20 min)

  • Melt another color of chocolate wafers- pour into a ziplock bag, and use the bag as a chocolate pen by snipping one of the corners of the bag with a pair of scissors.
