Nicole Digiacobbe’s Made-You-Blush Nursery

Nicole Digiacobbe’s Made-You-Blush Nursery

“Subtle touches can often make a big impact.” This was Nicole Digiacobbe’s design mantra for her daughter Mia Grace’s oh-so-feminine nursery. The third-time girl mom opted for simplicity this go-around, shying away from unnecessary clutter and creating a sense of cozy, clean and calm instead.

Like so many other parents-to-be, Digiacobbe started by scouring social media for inspiration. In the end, she designed an #instaworthy look all her own. Though, she did leave some room for spontaneity. (Just peep those stunning balloon arrangements from the baby shower!)

Subtle touches can often make a big impact.

The Ripple Jacquard Curtains and floral wallpaper from Wallpaperie served as the starting point, giving the room its understated “wow” factor. From there, Nicole layered in soft, feminine elements and special, sentimental touches.

We always try to be mindful of the products we bring into our home. When I found out about Pottery Barn Kids' GREENGUARD Gold Certified products, I instantly knew that was what we wanted for the nursery.

She made the color palette the main event, an ever-timeless combination of blush, cream and barely-there pinks. The same dreamy tones were even used in the Digiacobbes’ wedding almost a decade ago. Florals were added in sparingly, like with the Grace Flower Lamp and Organic Field Floral Crib Sheet, to create that air of femininity without going overboard.

Low-emission, safety-conscious materials were also details that Digiacobbe prioritized. “We always try to be mindful of the products we bring into our home. When I found out about Pottery Barn Kid’s GREENGUARD Gold Certified products, I instantly knew that was what we wanted for the nursery.”

Create a space that feels good to you—warm, cozy, inviting and beautiful.

For Mia, she chose the west elm x pbk Gemini Convertible Crib. And because parents need naps too (!), the Ava Regency Daybed and Paxton Swivel Glider & Recliner became mainstays in the room. It’s somewhere everyone—parent and baby, alike—can be at home, which is exactly what Digiacobbe suggests all new parents do: “Create a space that feels good to you—warm, cozy, inviting and beautiful.”
