In-Flight Snack Mix

  • This sweet recipe for in-flight snack mix can be created in advance of the party and given out to each guest to enjoy during the party or to take home for later! Cute packaging and a printable label design make it irresistible!

This classic snack mix is one of my favorite treats to make for my own kids. I know your party guests will love it too!

Ingredients - Cupcakes

  • 9 cups Corn Chex®, Rice Chex®, Wheat Chex® (or combination of the three)
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Preparation

  • In a large bowl measure the cereal.

  • In a microwave safe bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter for 1 minute. Stir. Microwave about 30 seconds more and stir until the mixture is smooth. Add vanilla and still again until smooth. Pour entire mixture over cereal and stir until the cereal is evenly coated. Transfer the coated cereal into a 2 gallon resealable plastic bag.

  • Add the powdered sugar. Be sure to seal the bag and shake until all pieces are well coated. Spread onto wax paper to cool. When cool put your mix into an airtight container and store until party.

  • Add colorful candies and white chocolate pretzels to the mix for extra fun flavors!
