Heavenly Meringue Cookies
With their wispy peaks resembling snowy mountains, these classic meringue cookies are the perfect treat for this baby shower. Light and fluffy, they'll delight your guests with their sweet, tangy flavor.
- 3 large egg whites, room temperature
- 3/4 cup sugar
- Pinch of cream of tartar
- Pinch of salt
- Pastry bag fitted with a large open-star tip
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt until frothy.
With a mixer running, gradually add the sugar. Continue to beat until stiff and glossy.
Transfer mixture to the pastry bag. Pipe stars on parchment-covered sheet pans and bake for approximately one hour until they feel dry.
Cool at room temperature; store in an air-tight container.
