How to choose the perfect crib:

Babies sleep a lot in their first year of life, which means that they're spending plenty of time in their cribs. Comfort is important, but safety is absolutely essential, and your baby needs a sturdy bed to handle all of the growing up that happens quickly.

Picking out a crib is a rite of passage for new parents. There are so many options to choose from, but here are a few of the reasons why the Reese Convertible Crib is one of our favorites.

Reese Crib
GREENGUARD Gold Certified

Good for Baby, Good for the Planet

The Reese Convertible Crib is GREENGUARD Certified, which means that both you and your baby can breathe easier. The entire Reese Collection has undergone stringent testing and is screened for more than 10,000 chemicals and volatile organic compounds that are known to pollute indoor air. This furniture is made from eco-conscious materials that are all carefully selected to ensure they meet and exceed emissions standards.

Quality & Construction

When selecting a crib, you want it to be as sturdy as it is beautiful to guarantee it lasts through all of the wear and tear that a baby can put it through. The Reese Crib has a solid hardwood frame that is made from kiln-dried poplar to enhance its strength and natural beauty.

The structural integrity of the crib is further improved by mortise-and-tenon joinery. Additionally, we use superior hardware to ensure the crib has all the strength it requires. Washers are permanently secured using Blue Loctite, and the use of pin inserts eliminates the possibility of the components separating. Our cribs are rigorously tested to meet or exceed all required and voluntary safety standards enacted by the U.S. Product Safety Commission, the American Society of Testing Manufacturers and the Canadian Cribs and Cradles Regulations.

Reese Hardware

Babies like to use their teeth to chew on just about anything in sight, so a finish that can stand up to that is essential. The water-based finishes used on Reese cribs are specially designed for Pottery Barn Kids and are tough to scratch - no matter if you choose Simply White, Gray or Midnight Navy. When you plan to use the crib for several years, you don't want a design that feels outdated. The Mid-century Modern design of this crib uses clean lines and tapered feet for a timeless look.

Reese Colors

Grows with You

Buying things for a new baby can quickly add up, so versatility and longevity are essential when selecting a crib. One that converts into a toddler bed, like the Reese, ensures that this piece of furniture grows with your child for several years.

The Reese Convertible Crib also features two adjustable mattress heights for convenience and safety. Newborns can sleep higher up in the crib, but as they start to sit and stand on their own, you can shift the mattress to a lower position to keep the baby safe.
