Crafted in America
Matters to Us — Here’s Why
At Pottery Barn Kids, we're proud to be crafted in the USA. Lots of our upholstered furniture is built right here in America by talented craftsmen and craftswomen. When you choose a piece of Pottery Barn Kids furniture, know that each piece of fabric was cut and sewn, and each nail was driven, by a careful hand. More than just furniture, our engravable jewelry, bedding essentials and some rugs are all made in the USA, too.
Sutter Street Factory
The small town of Hickory, North Carolina has a long history of furniture making and craftsmanship. In fact, it's home to one of the oldest furniture manufacturers in the United States. That's why Pottery Barn Kids – and so many other businesses – chose this spot for our upholstered furniture factory. Located right on Sutter Street, the Pottery Barn Kids factory is in the heart of furniture country. You can feel confident knowing that the most skilled craftsmen are putting together your family's furniture as they have been for over 100 years.
Creating Local Jobs
When we opened the factory on Sutter Street, we created jobs for the residents of Hickory and the surrounding area. But it's more than just a job – it's a career that gives workers pride in their craft. Because they are proud of the work that they do, they can deliver products that are built with strength and durability in mind. These are pieces constructed to last a lifetime and to pass on to future generations.
Making Furniture from Start to Finish
Pottery Barn Kids furniture made in our Sutter Street factory is built from the ground up. All of the wood, including the solid hardwood frames, is cut and crafted into a frame, springs are added to give the furniture that comfortable bounce and the upholstery is added with each nail and pin is driven by hand. We pay attention to all the details and make sure our furniture doesn't leave the Sutter Street factory until it's 100% complete for the best finished product possible.
You Can Believe In
When you see a "Made in America" label, you know it stands for quality. We use the top materials and designs to give you and your and your family a product that is meant to last. At our Sutter Street factory, craftspeople meticulously craft Pottery Barn Kids furniture like nursery rockers and ottomans and upholstered beds because we're all proud of what we do and believe in delivering furniture to the customer that offers longevity and style.
