All Sizes:
When bed is set at lower setting, the mattress top is about 10-12" from the ground without a box spring and 18-20" with a standard 6" box spring on all our individual beds (varies based on mattress height). For smaller children, you may consider not using a box spring with the mattress to keep the setup closer to the ground. All of our beds have a slat-roll foundation to support the mattress, so a box spring is not required.

COMPOSITION:
Bed Frame: Solid rubberwood or scots pine
Planks: MDF* with Spruce Veneer on stained finishes.
Siderails: Engineered wood with Spruce Veneer
Finish: Oil-based paint or stain, hand applied using multi-step finishing process and protected with two coats of lacquer sealant.

*MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard): A man-made fiberboard consisting of wood fibers and resin binders. Suitable for painted furnishings and commonly used as a base for veneers, MDF features uniform consistency with no knots. While its density is about the same as a medium-weight hardwood, it is more structurally stable and will not warp or crack. MDF adheres well to finishes.

This finish is achieved through a 25-step finishing process that brings out the wood’s natural beauty. A final coat of lacquer seals the finish and adds extra durability.

Note: Youth/regular beds are for children 35" or taller, or children who are able to crawl out of their crib.
