How to care for leather furniture

To keep leather supple and prevent fading:

  • Do not expose to direct sunlight or heating vents.
  • Dust often with a clean soft cloth.
  • Vacuum crevices regularly.
  • Moisturize with an application of distilled water on a soft clean cloth.
  • Do not use saddle soap, cleaning solvents, furniture polish, oils, varnish or abrasive cleaners.
  • We recommend professional leather cleaning.
  • In addition, please refer to specific care instructions provided with your furniture.

For minor spots and spills:

  • Wipe immediately with a soft, white cloth dampened with distilled water.
  • Air dry.
  • Do not dry with hair dryers or heat of any kind.

For spills of butter, oil or grease:

  • Remove excess with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Do not wash or apply water to the spot.
  • Air dry; spot should dissipate within a day or two.

To treat scratches:

  • Rub the area with your palm or fingertips.
  • Over time the leather's natural oils will fill in most scratch marks.
