How to care for leather furniture
To keep leather supple and prevent fading:
- Do not expose to direct sunlight or heating vents.
- Dust often with a clean soft cloth.
- Vacuum crevices regularly.
- Moisturize with an application of distilled water on a soft clean cloth.
- Do not use saddle soap, cleaning solvents, furniture polish, oils, varnish or abrasive cleaners.
- We recommend professional leather cleaning.
- In addition, please refer to specific care instructions provided with your furniture.
For minor spots and spills:
- Wipe immediately with a soft, white cloth dampened with distilled water.
- Air dry.
- Do not dry with hair dryers or heat of any kind.
For spills of butter, oil or grease:
- Remove excess with a clean, dry cloth.
- Do not wash or apply water to the spot.
- Air dry; spot should dissipate within a day or two.
To treat scratches:
- Rub the area with your palm or fingertips.
- Over time the leather's natural oils will fill in most scratch marks.
