Why This Room Works

Here we paired bright patchwork quilts with sheeting that features whimsical prints. Personalized shams and pillowcases let each child know they have a spot that's all their own. Inspired by the sheets' underwater themes, we used rope to hang wooden plaques painted with ocean critters from a wall-mounted decorative oar. To maximize the space, we chose beds that can be arranged head to head, with drawers beneath.
