Why This Room Works

A warm beige on the walls and a distressed finish on the open-beam ceiling set the stage for a nursery that looks like a collection of vintage treasures. The ornate cast-iron crib, gold chandelier, and hand-stitched quilt displayed on the wall all have the look of prized antiques. We flanked the quilt with photo displays that add personality, and chose sweet, simple crib bedding with a timeless bird-and-branch motif.
