Seven Tips for Early Literacy Learning
The long days of summer are perfect for getting kids engaged and excited about reading. Whether you're home or traveling, it's important to incorporate fun language lessons to get children on the path to fluency. Here are seven tips for kids who know the alphabet but aren't reading independently.
Here are our top tips to prevent the summer slump:
Tip #1: Focus on the letters of their name.
Tip #2: Recognize each letter and know their sounds.
Tip #3: Introduce uppercase and lowercase letters.
Tip #4: Practice early writing techniques.
Tip #5: Connect objects with words.
Tip #6: Practice print referencing.
